Turnkey brand mascot: look, voice and videos

€2,900 to €5,500 10 to 21 days

A mascot is a character that speaks for your brand in videos, courses and social media. We create it with no 3D studio and no shoot: the look, the personality, the voice, a character sheet with different angles and the videos in which it guides the viewer. For SIBUR’s internal AI course we made four mascots, one per course track, and a welcome video in three days, from concept to final video. Below, we cover where a mascot works, how we make it, what we need from you and what it costs.

What a company mascot is

A company mascot is a recurring brand character with its own look, personality and voice. It appears wherever the brand talks to people: in ads, employee training and social media, on packaging and at trade show booths.

01.1

Why a business needs one

The character explains the product in plain language and keeps one look and one voice from video to video. It needs no reshoot when the team changes, and it can host a series that keeps viewers waiting for the next episode.

01.2

How it differs from a logo

A logo sits in the corner of the frame; a mascot acts in the frame itself: it talks, jokes, shows the product and guides the viewer through the video.

01.3

Examples from our work

Four mascots for SIBUR’s internal AI course, three characters in the animated series for the Tap Beer bar, four characters in the dance battle promo and three characters in our concept film inspired by Snickers, which the brand did not commission.

02

Where a mascot works better than a human face

02.1

Training and internal courses

If the welcome video is boring, employees close the course right there. At SIBUR the mascot draws the viewer into the course from the very first second, and each track has its own character with a personality and a voice.

02.2

Social media series

For Tap Beer in New York and Miami we made three characters, and each one speaks to its own audience: Stout Official in a tuxedo for connoisseurs, the soulful Old Man ARA with a Bavarian backstory and the cheeky Student IPA. The look and the voice stay the same from episode to episode, so viewers look forward to the next one.

02.3

Event promos

For a dance battle we created four characters and a promo video in 7 days from brief to release, with an original beat and no shoot at all.

02.4

Branded films

Our own concept inspired by Snickers (the brand did not commission it): three characters, a whole world and a 2.5-minute film with no shoot days.

A mascot also helps when a brand has no face of its own: the founder does not want to be on camera, the expert changes, and the character stays with you as long as you need it.

How we make a mascot

1. The character’s role. Who it is, who it talks to, how it jokes and what it would never say. We design the look for that role.

2. Two or three design options. A mood board, AI generation and a choice we make together with you. We refine it until the character feels like yours.

3. Character sheet. Angles, emotions, colors and details, so the character looks the same in every video and on every platform.

4. Voice. We choose or synthesize a voice that fits the personality, with usage rights.

5. First videos. A welcome video, recurring segments, announcements: vertical 9:16 for social media and horizontal 16:9 for courses and screens.

You get the character, its character sheet, its voice and finished videos; new episodes are then produced without developing the look again.

04

What we need from you

Brand guidelines, or at least a logo, colors and a couple of references. Where the mascot will live: a course, social media, ads, packaging. Two or three characters you like and two that are definitely wrong for you: that way we find the style faster. And one person who approves the look, so that approval does not drag on for weeks.

05

Where a mascot does not fit

When clients are buying trust in a specific professional: a doctor, a lawyer, a named expert. There an AI avatar of the professional, with their own face and voice, works better.

When the brand guidelines prohibit characters, or the company works in strict B2B, where a cartoon character would look frivolous.

When you need one video with no follow-up: a mascot pays off in a series, where people recognize it.

06

What it costs and how long it takes

We price the mascot together with the videos it appears in. The reference is the promo video packages: START 20 videos for €2,900 in 10 days, PRO 30 videos for €3,900 in 14 days, EXPERT 50 videos for €5,500 in 21 days. We name the exact figure based on the brief and fix it in the contract before work starts.

Timeline: the character and the welcome video can be ready in a matter of days; for SIBUR, four mascots and a welcome video took three days. A video series follows the package timeline.

FAQ

Questions clients ask before ordering, with our answers.

Will the mascot look the same from video to video?

Yes, that is what the character sheet is for: angles, emotions, colors and details. With it, the character is rendered the same way in every video. That is how we kept the look and voice of the three Tap Beer characters consistent from episode to episode.

Who owns the rights to the character?

Under the contract, we transfer the exclusive rights to the look, the character sheet and the videos. We use a voice that is licensed for commercial use.

How much does a brand mascot cost?

We price the mascot together with the videos it appears in. The reference is the promo video packages: START 20 videos for €2,900, PRO 30 videos for €3,900, EXPERT 50 videos for €5,500. If you are comparing this with the price of a single character without videos, keep in mind that the videos with the character are included here. We name the exact price based on the brief and fix it in the contract before work starts.

How long does a mascot take?

The character and the welcome video: a few days; for SIBUR, four mascots and a welcome video took three days. A video series: 10 to 21 days, depending on the package.

How is a mascot different from an AI avatar?

A mascot is an invented character: it has no real person’s face, it does not get tired and it does not leave the company. An AI avatar is a digital twin of a real person, with their face and voice: you need it when trust in a specific professional matters.

Can you make a mascot for a course or employee training?

Yes, this is one of the formats we make most often. For SIBUR’s internal AI course we made a separate mascot for each track and a video in which the character leads the employee into the course.
